Directions to Trinity Christian Fellowship From Snellville: take Hwy 124 to the intersection of Hwy 20 (Wendy's on the corner, CVS on the other corner) and go left at the traffic light onto Hwy 20/Clayton Street. Go through the 1st light, pass Lawrenceville City Hall, the police station & at the 2nd light, take a right at the light onto Hwy 29. At the next light, the post office is on your left, that a left on Buford Drive/Hwy 20. Follow Hwy 20, crossing over Hwy 316. After the traffic light at Swanson Rd, bear right onto Braselton Hwy/Hwy 124 and follow 124 North. Go 1.5 miles and then turn right on Old Fountain Rd. Go 1.5 miles to the church From Buford area: Take Hwy 20/Buford Drive towards Lawrenceville. You will pass the Mall of GA, pass the new Gwinnett Braves Stadium, past Rock Springs Rd and at Old Peachtree Rod, go left at that light onto Old Peachtree. Stay on Old Peachtree, crossing over Hwy 124 (traffic light). About a mile down take a hard left to stay on Old Peachtree Rd (there is a designated left turn lane). About a mile or two later, come to the traffic light at Old Peachtree & Old Fountain and go right on Old Fountain. The church is barely a mile down, on the right. Alternative Direction from Buford area: Take Hwy 20/Buford Drive towards Lawrenceville, Pass Mall of GA, Gwinnett Braves Stadium, Rock Springs Rd and Old Peachtree Rd. Take a left on Azalea Rd, no signal light but there's a church on the corner. Stay on Azalea Rd and it becomes Old Fountain Rd. You will cross over one 4 way stop and a light where the name changes. The Gwinnett Chapter meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at a new meeting location, Trinity Christian Fellowship, 1895 Old Fountain Road, Lawrenceville, Georgia at 7:30 pm in the 100 Building. Contact June Cooper, 770-995-5268 for more information. Our chapter has an abundant collection of grief and bereavement books in our Lending Library. Anyone may check out books for as long as you need them. We also welcome donations of books that have been helpful to you and you might like to share with others. All books have a "In Memory of"" bookplate/sticker with child's name. Also, every month our chapter acknowledges birthdays of that month. Parents whose child has a birthday that month receive a phone call inviting them to the meeting and to bring pictures and/or mementos for our Birthday Table. Parents may also bring their child's favorite snack (s) and before we divide into sharing group, parents have the opportunity to share a special story, favorite memory, meaningful poem or whatever they'd like in memory of their child. |

On September 17, 2005 we had our Annual Picnic. New this year is the addition of a bench beside our Memorial Garden. The garden is thriving and blossoming and it's so wonderful to have a bench to sit and reminisce. All members are welcome to stop by the garden any time and enjoy some peace and serenity with memories of our children (and pulling a few weeds is allowed too!) Our Annual Picnic was well attended and a good time was had by all. Once again our children blessed us with wonderful weather for this event. Each of these 3 albums show a great variety of the fellowship and food we shared during this special afternoon. |
December 20, 2006 - Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony at our monthly chapter meeting Every December we have a very special remembrance candle lighting ceremony as part of our monthly meeting. We honor, remember & cherish our children especially during the holiday season & gather together by lighting candles and saying their name during this very moving service. This year's guest speaker was Charlie Walton, parent of Tim & Don Walton and surviving son Rick Walton. He is also the author of "Packing for the Big Trip" and "When There are no Words". |
On September 30, 2006 we had our Annual Picnic at Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville. We were once again blessed with wonderful weather and the opportunity to share our precious children's memories, renew our TCF friendships, and enjoy an afternoon of fellowship & great food. |
Annual Picnic This year's picnic wll be on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville at the Stanley Gunter Pavilion near our Children's Memorial Garden - same location as in previous years. We are in the planning stages of having our picnic catered, which was a huge success for the past 2 years. If you would like to bring your favorite salad, side dish, appetizer, snacks (chips, pretzels, etc) or dessert, that would be great. Sweet tea, soda & snacks will be provided by the chapter. Please bring a photo of your child, grandchild, sibling for our Memory Table. We will have music and our Memorial Balloon Release. |
